Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how to cancel a Buildficient subscription, what happens to your access and data when you do, and when refunds apply. It supplements the billing terms in our Terms of Service; if there is any conflict, the Terms of Service control. "Buildficient," "we," and "us" mean Proark Solutions Inc.
1. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription yourself at any time. No phone call or email is required. In the app, go to Billing → Subscription → Cancel plan. Cancellation is processed through our payment provider, Stripe. You will receive confirmation once the cancellation is scheduled, and you can resume any time before the period ends.
2. When cancellation takes effect
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access to your plan until then; we do not cut off access mid-period.
- Monthly plans. You retain access through the end of the monthly period you have already paid for. We do not provide partial refunds for the remainder of a monthly period.
- Annual plans. Within 14 days of your initial annual purchase, you may request a full refund (a 14-day money-back guarantee). After those 14 days, the annual term is non-refundable, but you keep full access for the entire year you have paid for, even after you schedule cancellation. Deleting your company is different: see Section 7.
3. EU / UK right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days. To exercise it, contact us at support@buildficient.com. Where you have asked us to begin providing the Service during the withdrawal period, we may charge for the portion already provided up to the point you withdraw. This right is in addition to the annual money-back guarantee above.
4. The Crew trial
New customers may start a 14-day free trial of the Crew plan. No payment card is required to begin the trial, so no charge can occur during it. At the end of the 14 days you choose a paid plan to keep going; you are never charged unless you select one. If you do not select a plan, your account becomes read-only and your data is kept for 90 days (see Section 6), so you can pick a plan later and resume where you left off.
5. Automatic renewal and price changes
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. You authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on each renewal. We may change prices with at least 30 days' advance notice; any change takes effect at your next renewal, and if you do not agree you may cancel before it applies.
6. What happens to your data
Cancellation does not immediately erase your data. After your paid access ends:
- Read-only access. Your account becomes read-only: you and your team can sign in and view projects, but cannot create or edit records.
- 90-day retention. We keep your data for 90 days after cancellation so you can come back without losing anything. After that, your company's data is permanently deleted.
- Reactivation. Resubscribe within that 90-day window and your account is restored exactly where you left off: same projects, schedules, photos, and history. After the window, it cannot be restored.
- Export any time. You can export timesheets, invoices, estimates and reports from the app at any time. To get a full copy of your company's data before it is deleted, email support@buildficient.com.
- Permanent deletion. After the 90 days, we permanently delete your projects, tasks, files and photos, contacts, invoices and estimates, messages, daily logs, voice transcripts and AI history, and your company's billing customer record at our payment processor. Encrypted backups roll off on their normal cycle.
- What we keep. Records of acceptance of our terms, opt-out (STOP) records so we keep honoring them, and records we must keep by law (for example our own billing and tax records).
- Delete company. An admin can also choose Delete company in Settings. The company becomes read-only right away, and its data is permanently deleted 30 days later. An admin can cancel the deletion at any time before then. See Section 7 for what happens to billing.
7. Deleting your company
When a company is permanently deleted, we cancel its subscription at that moment. That is 30 days after an admin asks to delete the company, or right away if an admin chooses to delete it now. No further charges are made. The current billing period is not refunded, on monthly and annual plans alike. If you are inside the 14-day money-back guarantee (Section 2) or have a right to withdraw (Section 3), ask for your refund before the company is deleted.
8. Refunds outside this policy
Except as stated in this policy or required by applicable law, fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused features, or downgrades. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will investigate in good faith.
